The wait will soon be over when Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice arrives in theaters next month, settling once and for all who will emerge the victor in this superhero showdown. Seeing as both of these do-gooders are pitted against one another – well, until Lex Luthor starts meddling – the film’s marketing department has dropped a couple of posters to remind us of their troubled relationship.
It’s a similar tactic to the promotional materials for Captain America: Civil War. This pair from Warner Bros. don’t make that step and ask outright whose side are you on, but the implication is there; are you rooting for the impeccably-coiffed alien or the rugged billionaire?
The most recent trailer made that decision for us, opening on a battle-ready Batman launching into full-on attack mode as he careens through a warehouse window and takes out a round of assailants. Superman on the other hand, was presented once more as the interfering alien who cannot be trusted. We’ll find out who prevails next month.
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25, 2016.
